We have been teaching Le
Roc Modern Jive for 9 years and have been dancing for 13 years, Ken has been a
qualified LeRoc dance teacher since 2003 and member of The Le Roc Modern Jive
Federation since March 2003. This qualification is endorsed by The United
Kingdom Alliance of Dance Teachers and currently is the only nationally
recognised LeRoc Modern Jive dancing qualification.
We have now taught a few Smooth Jive
Routines on a Wednesday at the Barn, so if you like the style and would like to
learn a bit more or if you are an experienced dancer interested in changing or
adding to your current style this is the workshop for you. We will start with
the basics and progress from there.
Our workshops are focussed around YOU and
this workshop is designed for dancers who would like to Improve their dancing
in a “Slot Format” to slower music by
introducing some of the simple techniques All our workshops are
tailored around the ability of who is attending and their/your current ability.
Our workshops as always will be run in our usual
relaxed but professional manner, where you can feel free ask us questions or
seek advice. All our workshops are limited to 8 to 10 Couples (Maximum) as this
will help us to provide you with personal feedback and concentrate on YOUR
individual needs.
With all our workshops we will provide you with
bottled water and sweets/nibbles.
The cost of this workshop will be £18 per
person or £15 per person if booked as a couple
(Leader & Follower) this is to encourage gender
balancing.
This Workshop is for all experienced dancers who have
completed our Basic 6 week Beginners class, or have some previous experience of
some form of partner dancing. We will cover –

book a place on. A £5 deposit per person will be required with your booking to
reserve your place, as places are limited.
Please try to arrange your own dance partner for the workshop
however, if you are having problems arranging one please come and talk to us.
We would also like to know what you are hoping to gain (your
objectives) from the workshop, as this will help us to tailor that workshop to
meet the maximum needs of the Group and help us to respond to individual needs.
